After many years in the global market, Ministry of Cannabis is a recognised breeder of premium quality marijuana seeds (aka cannabis seeds or pot seeds).

Since 2008 they have introduced their line of autoflowering seeds, in regular and feminized types.

Since january 2009 Ministry of Cannabis sell only feminized seeds.

Ministry of Cannabis Feminized Cannabis Seeds

Feminized cannabis seeds (female seeds) are seeds that are genetically modified to produce only female plant. For all the growers, the interesting part of the harvest is the female flowers or buds. The male flowers are only used to produce seeds. Traditionally the growers must germinate an amount of seeds at least double of the final quantity of plants requested. For the modern indoor grower this mean also to throw away a great quantity of electricity and fertiliser for nothing. Ministry of Cannabis has found a solution for this problem. Using substances, such as gibberellic acid and colloidal silver, the breeders of Ministry of Cannabis have managed to ensure that their female plant will produce male pollen. In this way, given that both parents are indeed a female, only the X chromosomes are passed to the offspring. This is why the seeds that are produced in this way can only generate female plants (99,99%).

Seeds that generate female plants, that flower automatically (independently from the number of hours of light received each day) and complete the whole cycle in about 2 months, from seedling to mature bud.

We all know that normally the cannabis plant, is a short-day plant, so it flowers when the days gets shorter. In indoor, once the plants have reached the desired dimensions, the grower switch the timer from 18 ho

 

urs of light to 12 hours of light, provoking the flowering. In outdoor, in the northern hemisphere, the natural sunlight will let the flowering begins approximately at the beginning of August.

Before the autoflowering seeds era, the only way to get an harvest in outdoor during the summer was to cover each plant every day so the exposition to the sunlight was limited to 12 hours maximum. This was a enormous amount of job, so many growers never tried to do it. In indoor, many of the strains request a minimum of almost 3 months for a full cycle. The autoflowering cannabis seeds offers to the growers many new exciting possibilities. The first one, is to get the final product ready within only two months, indoor or outdoor.

Another great possibility for the outdoor growers is to get multiple outdoor harvest in one calendar year: from spring to autumn is possible to get even 4 outdoor harvest, in the warm area like the mediterranean. In many places were the temperature doesn’t go lower than 18-20 degrees, it is possible to grow all year around.
